  43. So, I am a little late here Russ, but I am actually still working my through the list of all the people I wanted to visit for their top 10s. Beautiful set here, and I love the diversity.

  44. Thanks Mark. I appreciate your comments.

  45. If Mark was late, then I am super-late, but I have also been late to visit your blog in general, which is a mistake, I feel now, especially after having seen your top images of the year here. As long as I’m stopping by, I’ll give my opinion on some of them, for what it’s worth. To each his own. Big Sur and Anza-Borrego are a bit over the top in saturation, in my judgement, but I guess everyone has to judge for themselves. I was just accused of over saturating one of Dad’s images today. I know how silly it sounds at times. I was blown away by #1 the moment I saw it. The first four, for that matter, are truly very fine: well seen and well executed, IMHO. The last four, especially the final image are superb. The first and last are my favorite.

  46. Thanks for taking the time to comment David – your input is very much appreciated!

It really was a diverse collection this year, but the top image in everyone’s mind seems to be #1. I certainly understand your feelings about the saturation in some, and although I don’t deliberately try to push it, with some images it happens naturally. I always did believe that Velvia was true to the natural world in many respects.
